Kenyans need Raila Odinga in National politics now more than ever before

Speaking during an event to donate food items to flood victims in Embakasi South, Raila criticised Ruto’s running of the country.

He accused Ruto of failing to steer the country on the right path.

The ODM leader recounted claims by the government that Azimio was hindering development projects in the country.

He questioned if anything tangible had been done in the country since the opposition coalition party called off street protests.

“Now, when they were spreading rumours everywhere that Azimio wants to destroy the economy, and that’s why it held them hostage, and they can’t run things.

“We said, “Okay, let’s stand aside and watch.”

“Now, it’s been a year since then, has the situation improved?

“Has anything changed? Haven’t they failed?

“They failed, and even if they stay for ten years, they’ll fail.

“Zakayo doesn’t know the way,” Raila stated.

The ODM leader further observed that the issue with Ruto’s government was that it was full of corrupt individuals.

Raila accused Ruto of appointing corrupt lieutenants, pointing out the fertiliser scandal as a case for reference.

“All those in his camp, those he chose, are all thieves.

“Their job is theft. Everywhere they open their operations, it’s theft. Just the other day, they said they were bringing fertiliser; they came to sell rocks to the people, claiming it was fertiliser,” Raila added.

At the same time, Raila took a swipe at Ruto’s CSs among them Ezekiel Machogu (Education), Susan Nakhumicha (Health), and Moses Kuria (Public Health) all of whom he called useless.

Raila orders Ruto to stop Mukuru demolitions, vows to resist evictions

Raila, who was addressing a rally in Embakasi South, Nairobi, called on the head of state to reverse his initial decision to order the Ministry of Home Affairs to lead the demolitions on the Mukuru kwa Ruben Reperian lands.

The former prime minister called Ruto’s orders unethical and instead urged the government to first build houses for residents before evicting them.

“And I want to say today that these people should not demolish the houses in Mukuru kwa Njenga, they should not destroy any houses,” Raila said.

The Azimio leader vowed to resist the government’s decision to demolish houses in Mukuru areas, saying it was against the will of the people.

Accusing the government of inhumane treatment for its decision to evict the residents, Raila said the government could have taken appropriate measures before embarking on the evictions.

“First build good houses before you come to destroy them. Kenyans are not animals, they must possess humanity,” said Chief Azimio.

“If you come with force, we are the force and we know how to apply it and we will unite so we can die with you,” added Raila.

Odinga further urged the head of state to immediately declare the current flood threat a national disaster as thousands of people had been directly affected.

During the rally, the former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader also criticized the Education Cabinet Secretary for his late-night orders prohibiting the reopening of schools.

Raila accused the Education CS of failing to do his duty and Odinga claimed that many students were affected by Machogu’s late directive.

“They said schools would reopen, but they waited until the last minute after students traveled to school and issued a statement blocking schools from reopening,” the ODM leader said.

In reality Raila Odinga is more needed by Kenyans now to save them from the Ruto regime that practically has no clue what to do for the country. It is not just about the devastating floods and the crime of fake fertilizers supplied by the Ruto government folks but there is a feeling among Kenyans that William Ruto has serious inferiority complex as the president of the country behaving as if he doesn’t even believe he is the president.

The man looks shocked that he is at State House and he is trying to convince himself that he is there and no concerns whatsoever about the lives of Kenyans. Kenyans have had issues with bad presidents but at least they looked confident and did their work. You could disagree with Mwai Kibaki from during his ten years in office but he was a very confident president for the Republic of Kenya. The nation had issues with President Uhuru Kenyatta for ten years but he was there for the country when they needed him.

It may very well be that this is the time Kenyans need Raila as a national leader more than they ever needed him even when he fought to end the one party dictatorship by Moi in 2002. It looks like if Raila Odinga runs for the presidency of our suffering republic in 2027 he will win it by a landslide. Kenyans are getting sicker and sicker with the Ruto regime based on the facts on the ground.
